Groups

Men's Group

Monday 2pm to 4pm

The group goes from strength to strength offering members a challenging and entertaining programme of events throughout the year. The current programme includes art, swimming, table tennis and philosophy as well as providing members with opportunities for taking trips in and around Cambridge.

Music Group

Tuesday 2pm to 4pm

If music be the food of love we play on and consume works from all genres: from Motown to psycho trance and beyond. Members have an opportunity to sample a range of music they might not otherwise encounter as well as reacquainting themselves with some old favourites. All tastes welcome or none come to learn, enjoy and share some of your most and least preferred works of music. Healthy debate accepted.

The Singing Group

  Wednesday 12pm - 1.30pm

The Bath House hall in Cambridge is filled with the sound of two and three-part harmony songs from around the world, sung a cappella. The sound can be enormous – it sometimes seems to be made by more than the seven or eight people attending. The sessions are great fun.

Most of the singers are Lifecraft members (although the group is open to anyone with mental health needs). There are about fifteen people who come (although rarely all at once!) We perform about eight times a year, in both mental health and mainstream community settings.

Creative Writing Group

Wednesday 2pm to 4pm

Two outstanding events of the past year were the launch at the Bath House of Louise Mills’s poetry collection “Drowning and other fragments” and Linda Appleby’s “Harvest” with further readings to come at the recently opened Libra and Aries bookshop whose owners are keen to support the creative output of Lifecraft.

Women's Group

Thursday 2pm to 4pm

The Lifecraft Women’s Group is for all women who have either suffered from or continue to suffer mental distress. The group offers friendship, networking and a varied and interesting programme. Some of the activities currently offered to the members include artwork, visits to the Botanical Gardens and yoga.

  Art Goup
  Friday 1pm to 3pm
This is a friendly group where artists of all levels and experience can come together to pain, draw or just relax together.
